Mclean High School Dec 2022 Holiday Bazar Fundraiser
The Mclean High School Winter Holiday Bazar 2022 was a great opportunity to educate the school community about the devastations of the Pakistan Floods. We discussed with the community members and informed them about our Flood relief efforts.
We presented the school community with the plans of raising funds to install Solar Powered electricity Generators for the Village housing the flood survivors.
Mclean High School Annual Gala Fundraiser Dec, 2021
December 21, 2021. It was a bright and chilly morning In December 2021. We headed to McLean High School to set up our booth for the awareness for the recently immigrated Afghan Refugee youths plight.
The FundRaiser was created with putting together dental Hygiene Kits. The proceeds would be used for the STEM education workshop aimed at serving the Afghan refugee Youth. We also had a donation box. We have created a booklet that explains dental hygiene steps and contains useful Dental Hygiene knowledge. We translated this Booklet into Farsi and Dari.
Bake Sale for Pakistan Flood relief: Sept 2022
September , 10, 2022: RefugeeYAC took the initiative to set up a bake sale for raising funds for the Pakistan flood survivors. The bake sale was held at ADAMS center.
We tirelessly baked all the cookies and cupcakes and set our table up.
We interacted with a large number of people. Discussing the environmental impact and how global warming was the instigator for the floods.
We also touched upon how the weak infrastructure of Pakistan contributed to the floods creating a disastor at such a massive scale.
